GETTING THE PARTNER GOD WANTS FOR YOU

These days, men always say it is hard to find a Christian girl to date or marry. The girls
also say the same thing "husbands are scarce". And I asked myself; “have they taken the place of fuel?" I was having an interaction with some ladies and I asked them the type of men they want to marry. They all had different views. Some said they want God fearing guys, some said they want rich, handsome and God fearing. Others said tall, six-packs and smart guys. I asked some guys what they think about Christian girls. They said, they are hard to find, and even the ones you will see around are all fake and desperate.
But I hear couples say how they met their partners through God's revelations, dreams or pastor's confirmation or through church activities. The bible says he that finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor from God. It means that your partner is not someone you see anywhere or that easily. Nobody is saying it will be hard before you find her or see him, but you will have to look beyond the distractions and noises out there for you to listen to that one voice that is meant for you, that is the hard part. But with God, all things are possible.
I always believed that everybody that goes to church is an eligible Bachelor and Spinster. So the options are many and easy to choose. How can we have so many men going to church and yet the women complain that husbands are scarce? Or how can we have many women going to church and yet

TALKING

Talking is an act of communication between two personalities. It involves the voice because if a person
moves his lips in different directions without sound, it makes no sense to us; so we have to voice out when we want to speak. I realized in life that what we hear has more effect on us that any other senses that we have because it is the first gateway to our hearts. In fact, we easily believe what we hear than what we see. People make excuses for what they see, even if you want to prove something to them by showing them to see that you are right in your way, they might not believe you, they might think it is a planned game. But when someone comes to tell us things that are not nice " this girl said you are a bad or stupid person or this guy said you are a dummy or a jerk" or anything that does not sound nice, we are quick to react even if the statement is true or not. That is how what we say affect people. My ex never liked me touching the wall, so one day,

WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?

I have heard so many people ask this question, who do you think you are? Most people
ask the question as a way of insult, as a way to make the other person have a low self-esteem, as a way to make the person feel that he or she cannot achieve anything in the true sense no matter how far they have gone. And people always feel insulted when asked the question. As if that is not enough, people say" Who do you think you are? Do you know who I am? And what I observed from these questions is a feeling of competition, a feeling of wanting to be understood and a feeling of superiority. What comes to your mind when you are asked such a question?
I was having a discussion with one of my friends and an argument erupted. And he asked me "Who do you think you are to tell me what to do? Do you know who I am? Do you know what I have been through? The things I have seen in life? You have not seen half of what I have seen. You have not been through hard life so you do not know anything. If I exchange what is in my head with yours, you will go mad.... and it continued. And I was so dumbfounded; and different thoughts crossed my mind. "Does knowing who I think I am, come from experiences of hard life? Does the confidentiality of my identity come from being through a lot? Do I have to suffer so much before I know my value?" I thought.
Most times we think that what makes us stronger and better than others is by the number of stories we can share with people about what we have been through. And we feel good when people say "wow, you have been through a lot". We see it as a compliment. I noticed that many people even go as far as making up false stories just to get such kinds of 'compliment', while others make up such stories to seek other people's sympathy.
The number of experiences that we have gone through does not define who we are or our level of confidence. Acts 17:28 "In God we live, move, and exist. As some of your own poets said, ‘We are his offspring."!!!
