THE WOUNDED HEART

The human was created by God with emotions and feelings that sometimes it cannot be controlled or imagined. These emotions and feelings are what make us different from every other inanimate things and it is centered in the heart. The heart is the center of blood supply to the body which gives life to the body. That is why when there is a heart attack, if not properly treated or taken care of, can lead to the death of the individual. Feelings and emotions are expressed in so many ways depending on the situation we find ourselves. As individuals, there are so many expectations we have towards each other most especially when two people are involved in some form of commitments towards one thing to achieve a common goal. At that point, some level of trust is expected from both individuals involved in order to make that happen. But what happens in a situation where one person suddenly betrays the other and goes ahead do a different thing from what both of them agreed on, and that decision was taken solely by the person without caring how the other would feel about it? Now that can lead to a broken heart. Sometimes, a wounded heart might not only come from a breach of contract or agreement. So many promises that were made have been broken. So many friendships have been destroyed and have led to an unending bitterness between the people involved because their hearts have been wounded. Sometimes it is difficult to forgive and heal; it is so difficult that suicide is often considered as the only option to relieve the pain. Many people do not have the heart to go on because they have stopped believing that trust and love can be regained. They have decided that if their best friends can betray them or turn their backs on them, there is nothing to live for anymore. So many people have been sold out and rejected by their family and they have concluded in their minds that love does not exist. People have been jilted by their partners in one way or the other, the only people they ever loved and these have driven them into drugs, alcoholism and other dangerous actions.

Before God healed me, I was wounded so badly in my heart due to the emotional trauma I
went through in my past relationship. It was like a very big wound that would not heal. I cried for days because it tore my heart apart. I was still wondering how I will cope without him despite the fact that he really maltreated me, beat me and abused me
so badly.

Scars- A scar is a proof that there was healing and the place where we have scars in our
body are usually stronger than other parts of the body that have not been wounded and
sometimes they become norm to  feelings of touch (you don't feel anything when you touch
them). one of those proofs that you have forgotten your past is that you come across those
things you did and you don't feel down or feel like crying, But instead you are happy that
God has given you a beautiful life. That is what Healing does. Nobody is promising
