We should understand that the devil works in different ways. If he cannot get you through your spirit, he will try getting you through your body (physically) which includes what we wear, eat, watch, where we go, things we say, things we hear and others and if he cannot get you directly, he will try getting you through the people around you. Let us be sensitive so that we don't get carried away. (Eph 6:12)-"for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places". Sometimes there are somethings that go on around us that we know nothing about.
There was a time
when someone said somethings to some of my friends bearing false witness against me just because I decided to cut-off from him. And my friends who knew him to be someone that lies; to my surprise, they believed him without questions and they confronted me. I didn't understand why that happened at first but I later realized from the spirit that it was not ordinary. I did not confront the guy because I knew that the guy did not know what he was doing, he was just being used by the devil. So many times we have been manipulated and made to do things that we ought not to do just because we are not alert and sensitive. we should soak ourselves with the word of God so that when the devil comes, we will not be stranded!

The more you get closer to God the more satan tries to bring you down. That's why we have to stay strong and firm in God's presence by having an " every moment" relationships with Him.
