they are not actually sure and they want to find out or be reassured. While for some, it is a test to see if the other person knows whatever he or she is doing.
Normally, being sure of whatever you are saying or doing comes from experience and research; you have tested and found it true on different occasions before you become confident about it. But, what happens in a situation where you have not done any research nor experienced anything about the solution, can you still be sure that it can work? Some people believe the things people say because of the confidence they see them portray while saying them. Even if what they are saying is wrong; the confidence gives a feeling of hope to whoever is listening.
Faith is not obtained through prayer. When Jesus was talking about faith as the mustard seed, he was not just talking about the size. He was also talking about the seed itself. A mustard seed grows to the size of the tree in a favorable condition. Faith needs a favorable condition to grow, which is the word of God. The things that are seen are created from the things that are unseen and faith is a transport system that brings them to pass from spiritual to physical. It is working towards the word of God that you believe. You have to first believe and understand that God cannot lie. Confess and proclaim the word of God. God needs men to stand in the gap. He gave man dominion over the whole earth and he is not breaking his principles about that. Faith is not a feeling. People sometimes expect a tingling sensation before they know they have been healed. Sometimes you might not get any feeling at all. There are times that it is like we don't feel the fire at that time. It is not about what you are expecting to feel; just say a simple prayer and watch God work.
